Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher released the identity of the two people who died as a result of a domestic incident/home invasion that took place shortly before 1:30 A.M. on September 6, 2023 in the 100 block of Prismatic Way in Lexington. According to Coroner Fisher in a statement release, 39-year-old Jamal A. Walker of Columbia shot and killed his ex-wife 36-year-old Dominique Bolen Walker of Lexington during a home invasion at the home of Ms. Walker. Ms. Walker was shot multiple times in the upper body and died of her injuries at the scene. According to Coroner Fisher, Ms. Walker’s 9-year-old son was present at the time of the incident, but was not injured physically. Jamal Walker then fled the scene and was pursued by law enforcement and died at another location due to multiple gunshots to the body.
