On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Yifan Liu, a female postdoctoral student in the field of psychology, regrettably committed herself. How Did Yifan Liu Die? On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, postgraduate student Yifan Liu tragically committed suicide. For roughly six months, she has been a member of the academic organization PUA, which stands for Physics and Astronomy. Yifan was frequently seen as a happy and vivacious individual. In March of that year, Yifan started working with Fisher Yu’s team at ETH after quitting her previous teaching position. There were charges that he had inappropriate interactions with certain female students and that he was cruel to them by making negative comments. People also complained that he wasn’t performing well in his position inside the PUA group. All of this has contributed to a quite depressing and dreary academic environment at ETH Zurich.
