Two things: one: the police officer who was recorded disrespectfully discussing the young woman being hit by a police cruiser and the officer stating her life has or had limited value is DISGUSTING and ATROCIOUS there's no way we can begin to heal and trust a system that is designed and built on the biases and mistrust. Second: the young woman Kookie Black her name is Quimyre and she is supposed to be here. She lived right here in our city. There are so many people fighting the silent fight of depression, mental health and other cognitive and emotional disruptions. Personally the connection with her is real because I was her at some point social media can be both a safe place and a prison but it's main goal is to distract, dismantle and destroy. Mental Health resources needs to accessible communities need to be educated on signs and prevention measures. People are more than just pretty pictures and words that nonone can understand and she is more than just a beautiful memory. She is more than the last status she posted. Mental Health is a leading cause of deaths next to drug abuse and violence acts committed against each other.
