Shayna Vincent Obituary: Shayna Vincent, a co-author of children’s books, has passed away. Dallas, Texas resident Shayna Vincent was declared deceased on September 12, 2023. She lost her brave fight against metastatic breast cancer. Shayna passed away when she was 38 years old. The day of Shayna Vincent’s birth was February 14, 1985. She had no sense of self. In order to help children like her kids understand what to expect, how they might feel, and how they might support a parent going through cancer, Shayna collaborated with a friend to produce Mama’s Year with Cancer, her one and only picture book. How did Shayna Vincent die? As long as she was able, Shayna fought cancer. The optimistic part of the story, when she could ring the bell, happened before the disease spread and came back, advancing her to Stage 4. Shayna went through one agonising surgery after another. She yearned to be with her family so much. The Jewish New Year passed Shayna by only a hair.
